Your Role
As a Produce Logistics Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for building and managing a book of business, developing relationships with shippers, growers, and retailers, and ensuring the seamless transportation of perishable goods. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop New Business: Actively prospect, cold-call, and build relationships with produce shippers and distributors.
- Provide Supply Chain Solutions: Tailor logistics solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring fresh and timely deliveries.
- Negotiate Competitive Rates: Manage pricing and carrier partnerships for cost-effective freight movement.
- Manage Accounts: Serve as the main point of contact, ensuring superior customer service and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Carrier Teams: Work closely with carriers and drivers to track shipments and resolve any issues.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Sales Experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field. Experience in produce logistics is a plus!
- Entrepreneurial Drive: A self-starter who thrives in a commission-driven environment.
- Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Ability to close deals and foster long-term client relationships.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Quick thinking and adaptability to solve logistics challenges in real time.
- Tech-Savviness: Familiarity with CRM, TMS, and supply chain software is an advantage.
